Chattooga Brewing Co. Newsletter #2: Brewing Momentum

Hey from İzmir, Türkiye!

Yep — you read that right. It’s a good reminder of just how far this project has come and how far it’s going. A lot of work has gone into getting to this point: we’ve launched merchandise, kicked off our social media presence, and we’re getting ready to brew our first beer. Our goal is simple: to build a brewery in Summerville, Georgia, that’s woven into the fabric of the community.

So… where’s the beer?

It’s coming soon. We’ve partnered with Hutton & Smith Brewing Company in Chattanooga, TN, to brew our first release: the 4501 Lager. We expect it to be ready later this summer. Thanks to a distribution partnership, it’ll be available in both kegs and cans across Summerville and the surrounding area. Want to carry our beer? Know someone who might? Drop us a line — we’d love to connect.

Come see us in person!

We’ll be at the Cowboy Heritage Festival in downtown Summerville on Saturday, June 7, with merch, good vibes, and big plans to share. We’ll also be at Riverfest in Lyerly on June 14 — come by, say hello, and see what we’re building.

What’s next?

We’re actively working with local developers on our future home in Summerville’s downtown entertainment district. Building a functional brewing space takes time — from renovations to equipment to navigating all the compliance and regulatory boxes that come with launching a production brewery. But this won’t just be a space to make beer — it’ll be a gathering space. A place for neighbors, friends, and visitors to connect, unwind, and feel welcome.

Breweries bring more than beer.

While Georgia’s craft beer scene isn’t the largest in the country, it still contributes $1.9 billion annually to the state economy. Over 11,000 Georgians are directly employed in the industry — and many more benefit indirectly. Small-town breweries like ours can revitalize downtowns, increase foot traffic to local businesses, and draw in visitors looking for something authentic and homegrown.

We can’t wait to meet more of you in the weeks ahead. Share our website, follow us on social, and drop us a note if you’d like to collaborate, volunteer, or just say hi. Thanks to everyone who’s supported us so far — we’re just getting started, and we’re glad you’re with us.

Cheers,

Chattooga Brewing Co.
